Kiern Jewiss has been promoted to the pinnacle of the Motorsport UK Academy as he becomes the newest member of Team UK.

The 2018 British F4 Champion’s 2018 campaign has gone from strength to strength and after being selected for the Motorsport UK Academy in April, Kiern will now represent the national squad at its highest level.

Team UK is a national squad of potentially elite drivers who are hand-picked to receive bespoke one-on-one performance management as they progress towards the top levels of motorsport. Members work with an MSA Level Four Qualified Performance Manager and each driver’s programme is tailored to their needs.

This promotion to Team UK is the icing on the cake of Kiern’s year that has seen the youngster be selected as a BRDC Rising Star, the youngest-ever McLaren Autosport BRDC Award Finalist and now a member of the Motorsport Academy Team UK – joining the likes of Lando Norris and Jordan King in the elite British squad.

Commenting on his promotion, Kiern is extremely proud to be honoured with the selection.

“Graduating to Team UK is a great honour and one that fills me with pride. The Motorsport UK Academy was key to me developing my skills on and off the track and paid a crucial part in me winning the British F4 Championship. The drivers that have been a part of Team UK have gone on to have great success, so with the help of Motorsport UK I hope to replicate their achievements and reach new heights in my career.”

Barry Mears, MB Partners’ Motorsport Manager, sees this as a great opportunity for Kiern.

“Being selected as a member of Team UK is a huge accomplishment and one that Kiern should be very proud of. Motorsport UK have played a fundamental part in the development of British racing drivers and it’s fantastic to see Kiern also be given this great opportunity,”
