British Champion Jewiss competes at Super One Series finale this weekend
MB Partner’s Young Drivers Academy karter Kiern Jewiss heads to the PF International Kart Circuit in Grantham this weekend for the final of the British Mini Max Super One Series with his team Strawberry Racing having already claimed the Championship at the last round.
Kiern won the 2015 championship title at the previous race weekend, held over the August bank holiday in Whilton Mill, Daventry. He won both finals giving him an untouchable lead in the standings.
This ninth round will be held over three days from 25 – 27 September. Ahead of the weekend, 13-year-old Kiern, from Maidstone, Kent, said: “I am still over the moon that I have won the championship and I can’t wait to get back into my winning kart this weekend and do it all again. There won’t be any pressure this weekend which is relaxing but it doesn’t change the fact that I always race to win. I’ll be giving it my all once again for myself and my team and continuing to do everyone proud.”
The young star hopes to drive to victory once again and this weekend Kiern will be racing GP plates on his kart signifying he is a grand prix winner. He will be the only racer in his class doing so.
Kiern is also running special gold decals on his kart to represent his championship status.
